ROUNDTABLE ON THE CHARTER OF QUEBEC VALUES/BILL 60: CIVIL RIGHTS AND LABOR RELATIONS PERSPECTIVES
CRARR will hold two round table discussions on the Charter of Quebec Values/Bill 60. The round-table community dialogues seek to provide alternative and progressive critical analysis of the proposed policy paper/Bill, to examine its impact on different minority groups, and to identify strategies for concrete actions and discourses to uphold fundamental human rights and freedoms as guaranteed by the Canadian and Quebec Charters of Human Rights and Freedoms.
This round-table dialogue will focus on concrete legal and civil rights issues as they pertain to international and domestic human rights instruments, citizenship and labor relations. The panel will include legal and labor relations practitioners who have litigated or actively participated in legislation and public policy on these issues. This event is co-sponsored by the Canadian Civil Liberties Association at McGill Law (CCLAML).
We are honoured to have Alexa Conradi, President of the Fédération des femmes du Québec, as the Opening Speaker.
