BANNING CREOLE AT WORK : HAITIAN SECURITY GUARDS CHALLENGE RACIAL DISCRIMINATION AT IMMIGRATION PREVENTION CENTER

Montreal, April 26, 2011 --- Many Haitian security guards have been the object of suspension and other disciplinary measures of a discriminatory nature at the Immigration Prevention Center (IPC) due a policy banning the use of languages other than French and English in the workplace.
